I became a governor in 2016 and hope that the skills that I have can be of benefit to the school. I am the Chair of Governors and the chair of Finance & Staffing Committee.
I joined the Hinckley & Rugby Building Society in 1989 and was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in 1993 before becoming Chief Executive in 2007.After gaining a degree in economics I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and worked at a number of companies in the Rover Group before joining Hinckley & Rugby.
I have been a parent governor since January 2014, my daughter is currently in the Key Stage 3 Redmoor Site. Being a parent governor gives the parental voice to the governing body. However, the wide range of ages and disabilities of the pupils does make this a really interesting challenge. I am a manager within Local Government and have been able to bring a number of my professional work skills and experiences to the governing body role. I’m looking forward to the challenge of taking on the role of Co Chair to help shape and develop the governing body as part of the overall development of the school.
Caroline Henton, Co-Vice Chair of Governors
I became a Governor in March 2015. I have had a varied career to date working in both the private and public sector in management roles. I have a background in law and regulation and with my current risk management work felt that this would be a good mix of experience and skills to act as a Governor. Having heard about the work of the school, I'm proud to be part of its Governing Body.
Simon Love, Co- Vice Chair of Governors
