Carole Wilkins

This week Dorothy Goodman suffered a terrible loss, unfortunately after battling hard against illness Carole Wilkins sadly passed away.

I only worked with Carole for a short time so I asked my colleagues to say a few words that I could work into a tribute. I was blown away by the response so I have decided just to publish their words:

"The calm beautiful way Carol handled things and that smile oh that smile that greeted us every working day and dazzled us on the weekends"

"I'll always remember the proud smile on Carole's face when the canvass of her daughters wedding arrived and she told me about the perfect day they had. A lady who loved her family and the children at school"

"The one to always welcome a new face, listen to your problems, love her family and friends dearly and treasure every single child in Dorothy Goodman. The one that walked through the door each morning and left her problems there too because all she wanted was the best for the children and young people she worked with. She lit up so many of our lives and bought only the best out of every child she worked with. Forever in our hearts & memory. The smile that could make you feel loved, warm and treasured xx"

"Just overall amazing!!!"

"Was an amazing hard working lady. She achieved so much with lots of the children but I will always look at Kaitlyn and think of Carol.Carol thought the world of the children .She laughed lots and was such good fun and always there to listen when you had problems and offer support. So sad and shocked she is no longer with us .she will be sadly missed.I was her second with Mr Harrison for a year then Miss Davey for a year.in key stage 2"

"The lovely, warm smile, À kind Word and a caring  heart. Carole was the proudest mum in the world and an amazing friend. I will treasure all the memories i have xxxx"

"An absolute lovely lovely genuine lady, one you could easily talk to and definitely have a giggle with!! Loved her lots. Xxx"

"Such a caring lady who would do anything for anyone and always went the extra mile. Not only was she a fantastic work colleague but also a treasured friend who we will all remember forever xxx"

"Carole began as a colleague and soon became a friend 10 years ago and has continued to be a friend for all these years. We shared many happy memories together over the years including celebrating many birthdays, parties, holiday get togethers, climbing snowdon, and my wedding day. As friends we shared many laughs and tears throughout the years. But at Dorothy Goodman she was a caring individual who wanted and got the best from the pupils she worked with. Every child she supported over the years has helped them to succeed to the best of their ability. What a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed in so many ways. Xxxx"

These are just a few tributes from Carole's friends at Dorothy Goodman.

I just wanted to pass on our condolences to all of Carole's family & friends from all the staff, pupils & parents at DGS.

Rest in peace Carole, watch over us all & send us a ray of sunshine on those tougher days ☀️
