#Backingtheblues with the Leicester Mercury & BBC Radio Leicester

On Friday April 29th Dorothy Goodman School will be ‪#‎BackingtheBlues‬ and are asking it's students & staff to wear their Leicester City shirts or something blue in recognition of Leicester City's achievements this season

The campaign, launched by the Leicester Mercury and BBC Leicester will see Leicestershire and Rutland turn blue for a day in honour of Leicester City following the club's most successful season to date.

Can we ask parents & staff to bring in as many Leicester City or blue items as possible, this will allow as many young people as possible to join in.

Leicester City Football Club have been a huge support to the school in recent years, offering us free coaching, stadium tours & of course our ambassador Jamie Vardy is leading the way as their top goalscorer.

A photographer from the Leicester Mercury will be joining us to take some pictures so let's turn DGS blue in support of the fearless foxes.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an opportunity for our young people to wear any football shirt to school, it is our way of thanking the club for their support, nor will we be fundraising on this day.
