Forget Lord Alan Sugar!
Forget Richard Branson!
Meet the next generation of entrepreneurs - 1st Britannia Cub Group!
Through hard work, determination & a little lemonade they turned £18 into £483.46 for our young people.
Each cub was given £1 to turn into as much as possible for Dorothy Goodman. During the half term running up to Christmas they made lemonade, baked cakes, made Christmas decorations and more to help raise money for our young people.
The money the cubs raised will buy a specialist feeding table to help our pupils gain extra independence when feeding. Plus specialist resources to help our senior students with cooking their own lunches by purchasing some adaptable equipment.
A huge thank you from everyone at Dorothy Goodman School - Academy for this amazing donation.
A huge thanks to James Lowe and his team for the donation of £355!
That has pushed us pass our first milestone of £500 on our #3MillionAims campaign.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Freightport Logistics Ltd for their £100 donation.
The money donated will be going towards mini Science labs for our students.
Thank you to Louise and Neil for making this donation possible.
Thank you to our charity sponsors Hastings Direct for their latest donation of £1810.10.
This amazing donation will go towards speech recognition equipment & software that will help our young people at our satellite sites participate easier in inclusive lessons.
The equipment will help dictation, easing the frustration of being unable to write due to dexterity or physical impairment, in some cases coupled with severe dyslexia.
A huge thank you to the team at Hastings for their continued support
A huge thanks to Marley Sports and Play Surfaces for donating £1000 worth of artificial surface to the school, which will be fitted in the summer break!.
Tonight we had the absolute pleasure of attending Hastings Direct's first year in Leicester celebrations.
At the event we were presented with a cheque for £935.80, the first donation as one of their two charities of the year.
It was a fantastic event & we are so pleased to see such a great organisation settling in Leicester & embracing it's community.
We are extremely grateful to Hastings for their support and we look forward to working with them long into the future.
Everyone at Dorothy Goodman would like to thank Hinckley Fire Station and their Rudolph fund for their kind donation of £1,510 towards Christmas gifts for our students and for bringing Father Christmas to visit our younger students just before the school holidays.
A massive thank you to The Croner Group Limited Hinckley who raised £557.90 with their Tombola, Cake Sale and raffle.
