A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Fayre!

It was great to see parents, children, staff and friends of Dorothy Goodman join us to raise money for our young people!

Huge thanks to all of the stall holders, the staff & friends who manned activities, served tea & coffee, got soaked and more all in the name of DG.

Special thanks to Bal and Rashila from BT who came along to volunteer, Sarah Young & the amazing Shelby Stars for their superb performance, Factory of Fun for providing a free bouncy castle, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Hinckley Station for bringing one of their fire engineers down to show the children and the businesses that donated raffle items.

On Monday, we will publish a list of all of the raffle winners along with the final figure raised.

Thank you again for your support

Forget Lord Alan Sugar!

Forget Richard Branson!

Meet the next generation of entrepreneurs - 1st Britannia Cub Group!

Through hard work, determination & a little lemonade they turned £18 into £483.46 for our young people.

Each cub was given £1 to turn into as much as possible for Dorothy Goodman. During the half term running up to Christmas they made lemonade, baked cakes, made Christmas decorations and more to help raise money for our young people.

The money the cubs raised will buy a specialist feeding table to help our pupils gain extra independence when feeding. Plus specialist resources to help our senior students with cooking their own lunches by purchasing some adaptable equipment.

A huge thank you from everyone at Dorothy Goodman School - Academy for this amazing donation.

Thank you to our charity sponsors Hastings Direct for their latest donation of £1810.10.

This amazing donation will go towards speech recognition equipment & software that will help our young people at our satellite sites participate easier in inclusive lessons.

The equipment will help dictation, easing the frustration of being unable to write due to dexterity or physical impairment, in some cases coupled with severe dyslexia.

A huge thank you to the team at Hastings for their continued support

A huge thank you to Triumph Motorcycles and J. Tomlinson Ltd with their help in refurbishing our Lower School allotment. They made a great start on clearing & leveling the space and will now be helping us laying a new path and raised and lowered beds.

Tonight we had the absolute pleasure of attending Hastings Direct's first year in Leicester celebrations.

At the event we were presented with a cheque for £935.80, the first donation as one of their two charities of the year.

It was a fantastic event & we are so pleased to see such a great organisation settling in Leicester & embracing it's community.

We are extremely grateful to Hastings for their support and we look forward to working with them long into the future.
