Information Event

On Tuesday 24t April 2007 from 10am till 3pm we are having an Information Event
and we would like you to come along.
There's going to be lots of things going on. there will be over 40 stalls with loads of information about
everything that happens in the hinckley and bosworth area for people with learning disabilities,
their family and friends.
There will be music and things to try and a bar
where you can buy drinks and snacks.
We are going to have different people talking about the things that they do.
They will also answer your questions. This is when they will be giving their presentations.
  • 11am - Connexions - information, advice and guidance for young people.
  • 11.30am - person centered planning
    • Come and join in and start to think in a person centered way.
      You will be asked to share information about yourself so we can see what is important to you in your life and in the future.
  • 12 midday - Mencap. The work that mencap does in leicestershire.
  • 12.30pm - Lucy Hogg - supporting people with profound and multiple needs.
  • 1pm - Cornerstone supported living and cornerstone advocacy service.
  • 1.30pm - Clear give training and advice in clear communication.
    • More than words. ways to communicate well with people who have a profound and multiple learning disability.
  • 2pm - Question and answer session with adult social care and health
