Moving to the New School

Dear Parents / carers
Re : Assistance with move to the New School

We are moving to our new school shortly and require your assistance. As you can imagine, things are getting extremely busy as we move towards the new school and the next half tern will be critical, because that is when we will be packing up all the equipment that is to be transferred to the new site. In addition, we have also now agreed most of the building work that is to take place on our current site to prepare for the 14-19 section of the school, and there is to be a considerable amount. Essentially our current school will become a building site, which means that all of the classroom equipment has to be moved out of the way in preparation.

In view of the above we need some assistance on the last day of term (Friday July 14th). What I propose is the following:

  1. We would like to take all the pupils down to the new school site on that day, as it will be ready by then, and we will put on some activities for them.
  2. We will have a packed lunch delivered
  3. It would be very helpful if most of the children can then go home after lunch because it will mean that all our staff can pack equipment up in the afternoon (the removal lorries are booked for the Saturday!)
I will not be closing the school officially - I am simply asking for your help. If parents are not able to have their children home early on the last Friday then we will keep them in school.

Also, if any parents are able to help out on that day - either in taking children down to the new site or in packing - then I would be most grateful.

Details of transport, timings, how exactly you can help etc. will all be sent out after half term.

Thank you in anticipation of your help.
Tony Smith
