Dorothy Goodman achieves BASIC SKILLS AWARD
This is an accreditation of the school's work in Literacy and Numeracy, and is extremely hard to achieve.
In order to get it Mrs. Lockwood had to spend most of one term putting together a file showing:
- How we teach literacy and numeracy
- How we monitor and assess pupils' progress
- The training that we offer
- Our Schemes of Work
- The resources that we have available
When the file was submitted we were recommended straight away for the Award, which is testament both to the work of the teachers in the school, and to Mrs. Lockwood's skill and determination in putting together the file. So well done everybody.
The plaque will soon be seen on the front wall!
